Air Operations Manager

About the role

Yamato Logistics (HK) Ltd. is a member of the Yamato Group. Being the lead logistics solution provider of e‑commerce, electronics parts and cold‑chain operations in the region, the company offers international freight forwarding, door‑to‑door delivery and logistics services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the operations and warehouse team to ensure seamless daily air‑freight export and import activities while enhancing productivity and efficiency.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, agents and suppliers to secure competitive rates, contracts and sufficient cargo space.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to provide optimal pricing and solutions that meet company targets.
• Implement quality control, support strategic projects and key accounts, and regularly review and update SOPs based on KPIs and performance metrics.
• Analyse market trends, customer demand and operational data to identify improvement opportunities and report findings to senior management.

Required profile

• Tertiary education in Business Administration, Operations Management or Logistics Management.
• Minimum of 5 years solid air‑transportation operations management experience; airline experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, analytical mindset and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Excellent written and verbal English, Cantonese and Mandarin proficiency.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operations software.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
