Assistant Buyer – Home & Lifestyle

About the role

Lane Crawford is seeking an Assistant Buyer to support the Home & Lifestyle category. You will help shape the seasonal merchandise mix, work closely with senior buyers and brand partners, and ensure the store remains a top destination for luxury shoppers in Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the buying team in meeting seasonal sales and profit targets.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure exclusive ranges and optimise margins.
• Analyse competition and market trends to protect Lane Crawford’s market share.
• Develop pricing strategies based on market reviews and supplier cost structures.
• Provide monthly cost and expense updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor open‑to‑buy (OTB) systems to control sales and stock levels.
• Collaborate with stores to balance merchandise ranges and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Degree holder with at least 2 years of buying experience, preferably in luxury fashion.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English, Cantonese and/or Mandarin.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
