Assistant Housekeeper

About the role

The Assistant Housekeeper will oversee daily cleaning operations across guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house zones at Nina Hotel Tsuen Wan West. Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, you will ensure service standards are consistently met while supporting a high‑performing housekeeping team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, guide, discipline and appraise housekeeping staff, ensuring optimal performance.
• Inspect guest rooms, especially VIP, long‑stay, and special‑assignment rooms, to guarantee flawless condition.
• Communicate management decisions to subordinates and handle guest complaints or special cases.
• Schedule and assign daily work, conduct on‑the‑job training, and perform regular area inspections.
• Maintain inventory of guest supplies, conduct bi‑weekly stock checks, and report any loss or damage.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is well‑maintained and ready for emergency situations such as typhoons.
• Adhere to hotel safety, pest‑control, and emergency procedures.

Required profile

• F.5 or higher with a Certificate or Diploma in Hotel Management.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a hotel environment.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin with strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Willingness to work shift patterns and respond to emergencies.
• Mature, independent, self‑motivated, detail‑oriented and able to work under pressure.

Required skills
