Assistant IT Manager

About the role

The Assistant IT Manager will work closely with business departments to align IT initiatives with business needs, manage the IT budget, and serve as the primary contact for user inquiries. This role bridges technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of IT services and projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement system architecture solutions that meet business requirements and cost‑effectiveness.
• Maintain high system performance and availability across large‑scale infrastructure.
• Create and manage project schedules, dependencies, and resource requirements.
• Lead hardware and software upgrades, replacements, and procurement.
• Oversee end‑to‑end application projects, from requirements gathering to UAT, training, and documentation.
• Manage a technical support team providing help‑desk support for call centres and service centres.
• Perform IT security audits, asset management, and enforce access controls via Entra ID and MFA.
• Govern outsourcing vendors for Azure cloud infrastructure and support SharePoint Online and Office 365 environments.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 5‑7 years of comprehensive IT experience in system design, large‑scale infrastructure, and application administration.
• Proven track record leading IT functions across infrastructure, networking, security, and controls.
• Experience managing SLAs, incident management, and IT projects.
