About the role
The School of Clinical Medicine seeks an Assistant IT Manager / Software Developer to support teaching and learning operations. The position is offered on a two‑year fixed‑term basis, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain, enhance, and develop applications and systems used for frontline teaching and learning, including Moodle and Panopto.
- Provide IT support for various university events and platforms.
- Automate administrative workflows through web applications and system integrations.
- Collaborate with the Teaching and Learning Team in a fast‑paced environment.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- Minimum three years of post‑qualification experience in the IT industry (fresh graduates may be considered for the IT Technician rank).
- Strong sense of responsibility, good interpersonal skills, and proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese.
Required skills
- Frontend: React, Typescript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP.
- Backend: Node.js.
- Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle.
- DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, Git version control.
