Assistant Manager, Community Engagement and Education

About the role

The Assistant Manager will support the design and delivery of community engagement initiatives for corporate-wide projects, policy reviews and district‑based urban renewal programmes. This role bridges the Authority with local communities, government bodies and NGOs to foster mutual understanding.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing community engagement tactics, stakeholder mapping, action plans and issue anticipation.
• Develop and maintain a liaison network with government departments, Legislative Council members, District Council members, professional bodies, NGOs and interest groups.
• Produce communication materials that address stakeholder concerns and promote understanding.
• Monitor social‑media sentiment daily, identify emerging issues and provide actionable insights.
• Coordinate timely, coordinated responses to enquiries, complaints, petitions and emerging issues with internal divisions and external partners.
• Undertake ad‑hoc duties as assigned to meet business and operational needs.

Required profile

• Degree in Public Administration, Communications or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years full‑time experience in stakeholder or community engagement, preferably in Hong Kong.
• Experience liaising with Government Departments, Legislative Council, District Councils or NGOs is highly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving and stress‑management abilities; capable of independent work under pressure.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English and Chinese; Putonghua proficiency is an advantage.
