Assistant Manager – Indirect Procurement

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Indirect Procurement supports the Procurement Manager in steering complex indirect spend categories. This strategic deputy operates with high autonomy, delivering end‑to‑end category solutions while navigating intense, time‑sensitive pressures.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies and RFx processes aligned with commercial goals.
• Act as primary deputy to the Procurement Manager, supporting strategic planning and ad‑hoc projects.
• Drive inclusive sourcing and ethical practices while auditing procurement policies.
• Lead end‑to‑end negotiation of high‑value agreements to capture maximum commercial value.
• Execute independent audits of procurement workflows and spearhead the Annual Supplier Performance Management framework.
• Deliver high‑fidelity spend analytics and value‑added analysis for executive review.
• Provide technical guidance to Senior Officers and review procurement deliverables for standards compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement or sourcing experience, preferably in indirect categories in consumer, retail or beauty industry.
• Proven track record in running RFx processes and vendor negotiations independently.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Integrity and commitment to maintaining data accuracy and compliance standards.
