Assistant Manager, Insurance Asia Pacific

About the role

BASF is seeking an Assistant Manager to support its Corporate Insurance Asia Pacific team. The role focuses on implementing the global insurance strategy, especially employee benefits and property & casualty coverage, across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the global employee benefits insurance strategy in collaboration with brokers, insurers, and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee ancillary insurance lines and ensure local policies align with BASF’s global guidelines.
• Collect and verify risk and insurance data from Asian countries, maintaining accurate internal systems.
• Review fronting insurance policies to ensure compliance with the global strategy.
• Manage insurance aspects of BASF investment projects in the region.
• Coordinate insurance placements and monitor claims processes with business units, brokers, and insurers.
• Serve as the primary liaison for internal stakeholders, business partners, insurers, and brokers.

Required profile

• University degree in risk management, insurance, business administration, finance, or legal studies.
• Minimum five years of experience in the insurance industry, including employee benefits insurance.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external partners.
