Assistant Vice President – Private Equity M&A

About the role

Marsh is looking for an Assistant Vice President to join its Private Equity Mergers & Acquisitions (PEMA) team in Hong Kong. You will work with private equity and alternative investment firms, providing risk and insurance advisory services across fund, transaction and portfolio levels.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients, maintaining and expanding relationships.
• Prepare and deliver pitches and presentations to prospective and existing clients.
• Work closely with insurance specialists to perform due‑diligence and structure insurance solutions for M&A transactions.
• Ensure insurance placements comply with regulations, internal policies and audit requirements.
• Support ad‑hoc projects, analysis and tasks as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 5+ years of experience in M&A, preferably from a Big‑4, financial advisory or legal background.
• Strong project‑management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Willingness to network and build relationships with clients, advisors and industry peers.

Required skills

• Ability to present and pitch to advisors and clients, both in person and virtually.
• Strong written communication for drafting reports and presentation decks.
• Interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
