Associate Software Engineer – Cloud-Native Equity Risk

About the role

We are seeking a senior cloud‑native software engineer to join Nomura’s Equity Risk IT team in Hong Kong. The role will drive the transformation of a mission‑critical front‑office platform for equity derivatives pricing and risk management, working closely with traders and business teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, resilient applications on AWS and Kubernetes (EKS/Rancher).
• Develop micro‑services and serverless components for real‑time pricing and risk calculations.
• Optimize hybrid cloud deployments for performance, security and cost efficiency.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI for rapid, reliable releases.
• Build proprietary compute infrastructure using C#, Go and Kotlin.
• Develop low‑latency trading and pricing services (REST/Protobuf) and collaborate on rich UI components with React.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, delivery‑focused engineer with strong analytical abilities.
• Experience programming in multiple languages within a hybrid cloud environment.
• Deep understanding of cloud‑native architectures and equity derivatives is preferred.
