Backend Engineer, Trading

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure for our trading platform. The role involves creating large‑scale, high‑performance systems that support real‑time market operations and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to define technical requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement infrastructure components for the trading system.
• Build and scale large‑scale software systems and upgrade underlying architecture.
• Perform performance tuning, troubleshoot online incidents, and refactor code.
• Write clean, maintainable code following engineering best practices.
• Guide junior engineers, conduct knowledge‑sharing sessions, and support daily technical work.
• Collaborate with product and operations teams to define system requirements and roadmap.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience, preferably in backend or distributed systems.
• Ability to work under pressure, quickly learn new technologies, and communicate effectively across teams.
• Strong cross‑team communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in core Java and the Spring framework.
• Strong experience with MySQL and at least one NoSQL database.
• Expertise in designing distributed systems.
• Familiarity with messaging middleware and its design principles.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB.
• Understanding of messaging platforms like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
