Chief Architect

About the role

Octopus is seeking a visionary Chief Architect to lead the design and evolution of its enterprise and application architecture across mission‑critical payment and lifestyle platforms. You will shape the technical roadmap, ensure scalability and resilience, and drive innovation in a fast‑moving FinTech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Design Authority for end‑to‑end application and enterprise architecture across Octopus systems.
• Define and lead architecture strategy, governance, design standards, and review processes.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, security, and business teams to translate strategic goals into practical roadmaps.
• Lead proof‑of‑concepts, technology assessments, and architecture designs covering platforms, integration, data, observability, and performance.
• Conduct hands‑on reviews of production releases from an architectural perspective.
• Drive security reviews, risk management, and compliance through sound architectural practices.
• Lead cloud modernization, migration, and hybrid/multi‑cloud initiatives.
• Evaluate and guide adoption of AI, automation, and emerging technologies to enhance business capabilities.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• 15+ years of IT experience with strong expertise in enterprise and application architecture.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale solutions, architecture governance, and complex system integrations.
• Experience in mission‑critical system maintenance, incident investigation, and cross‑functional design.
