Construction Engineer – Platform Screen Doors & System Integration

About the role

The Capital Works Business Unit is seeking a Construction Engineer to lead the installation, renewal and modification of Platform Screen Doors (PSD) and Automatic Platform Gates (APG) across our railway network. You will work closely with contractors and internal stakeholders to deliver safe, reliable, and on‑time transport solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage contractors for PSD, APG, traction power supply, communication and other railway‑related assets.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with budget, schedule, quality, safety and environmental standards.
• Review contractor submissions, track site activities, and oversee testing, commissioning and defect rectification.
• Produce and verify as‑built drawings and documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in PSD/APG/E&M projects within an operating railway environment, including at least 2 years in project management.
• Corporate membership of a recognised professional institution is preferred.
• Self‑motivated with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
