Consultant – Engineering Risk

About the role

Marsh is looking for a Consultant in Engineering Risk to join its Risk Consulting team in Hong Kong. You will evaluate client assets, conduct site inspections, and provide recommendations to ensure compliance with local regulations and global standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk evaluation surveys of client assets to identify exposure to occupants and property.
• Perform regular site risk inspections, safety audits, and gap analyses against Hong Kong codes, NFPA and other standards.
• Measure environmental data such as ventilation rates, illuminance and floor conditions.
• Prepare detailed reports summarising findings and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Property Management, Occupational Safety & Health or related field (advantageous).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering, property, safety or facility management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Chinese.
• Independent, proactive, self‑motivated with strong problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of building services systems.
• Familiarity with fire protection systems and NFPA standards.
• Experience conducting risk surveys and safety audits.
• Ability to measure ventilation rates, illuminance and assess floor conditions.
