Cost Consultant, Infrastructure

About the role

Turner & Townsend is hiring a Cost Consultant for its infrastructure practice in Hong Kong. As a Cost Manager, you will manage the core functions of cost management services for construction projects, ensuring cost control and quality objectives are met and client objectives are delivered through an effective cost management service.

Key responsibilities

• Support and coordinate projects, with in-depth knowledge of pre-contract and post-contract cost management services
• Estimate, carry out rate analysis and cost planning, and present final cost plans to clients
• Handle tendering and procurement: pre-qualification, tender list, preliminaries, tender analysis, tender report and contractual documents
• Manage post-contract cost variances and support change control, referring major changes to the reporting manager
• Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and support their presentation to the client
• Contribute to Value Engineering exercises and interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages
• Improve cost management procedures, templates and products, and feed lessons learned into the company's internal database
• Work as part of the cost management team, including taking responsibility for Assistant Cost Managers where appropriate

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is a plus
• Minimum 5 years' experience in cost management or construction projects (e.g. cost manager, construction manager, procurement, project manager, consultant)
• Native-level Cantonese and business-level English
• Proficiency in Cost-X or equivalent cost estimation software
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
