Credit & Collections Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented credit professional to join our Hong Kong branch, safeguarding asset quality across corporate and commercial banking portfolios. Reporting to the Head of Credit, the role focuses on credit administration, evaluation and collections/recovery management.

Key responsibilities

• Review approved credit proposals, facility letters and legal documentation to verify compliance with approved terms.
• Oversee credit administration workflows, ensuring perfection of collateral, mortgages, guarantees and security instruments.
• Execute loan disbursements, manage drawdowns, rollovers, repayments and redemptions, and input credit limits into customer ledgers.
• Monitor active client accounts, maintain credit files and legal documents, and prepare MIS and portfolio risk reports.
• Perform periodic credit reviews, formulate payment arrangements for overdue clients and escalate high‑risk accounts.
• Ensure adherence to HKMA regulatory guidelines, local legal requirements and head‑office policies.
• Update SOPs, collaborate on product papers and manage daily system administration for IIDS, TUCIS, CCRA.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• Core or professional qualification under the HKMA Enhanced Competency Framework is highly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial/corporate banking experience in credit analysis, administration or loan workout/recoveries.
• Strong understanding of commercial banking credit products, financial statement analysis, cash‑flow projections and credit risk rating systems.

Required skills

• Credit administration and loan disbursement processes.
• MCRA, CCRA and IIDS reporting and daily administrative operations.
• In‑depth knowledge of HKMA regulatory requirements and legal debt recovery procedures in Hong Kong.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese.
