Director, Product Control – Finance

About the role

We are seeking a Director of Product Control to lead daily profit and loss validation and pricing verification for equity derivatives. The role works closely with trading desks, operations, and IT to ensure accurate financial reporting and system efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Validate daily P&L across multiple trading systems and obtain sign‑off from relevant business lines.
• Perform independent price verification for a wide range of equity derivatives.
• Collaborate with trading desks on significant P&L breaches and communicate findings to operations.
• Synthesize multi‑source data to meet Finance reporting requirements.
• Advise on system enhancements and partner with IT for finance automation initiatives.
• Coordinate with front‑office and Risk teams on valuation model development and maintenance.
• Serve as the Finance lead for Type 11 applications, liaising with system providers and consultants on IPV requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA and/or CFA designation preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of product control experience in a large financial institution.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and excellent written and oral English; Mandarin is a plus.
