Director, Strategy

About the role

The Group Strategy function shapes the long-term direction of the organisation, supports the Group Board and Executive Team in defining the company's strategic vision, identifies growth opportunities and ensures alignment across Local Business Units and Strategic Pillars. As Director within the Strategy Team, you will combine strategic thinking, analytical rigour and strong stakeholder management, reporting to the Group Director, Strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Strategy development: support the Group Strategy, work with the Group Strategy Director and C-Suite, lead high-priority workstreams in the Group Strategy refresh, analyse trends and competitive threats, partner with stakeholders to align strategy with execution, prepare briefings for the Board and Executive Team.
• Strategic planning: support the annual planning process, including market analysis, competitor benchmarking and scenario planning.
• Business and competitive analysis: conduct deep market and industry analysis, provide insights on innovations and steer competitive intelligence.
• Projects and execution: track strategy implementation with Group Transformation, identify areas needing course correction, lead ad-hoc strategy projects and support recurring reviews.
• Building capabilities: coach junior strategy team members and promote a data-driven, analytical culture.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive experience in strategy, business planning, consulting or related fields, ideally from top-tier management consulting firms and/or internal strategy teams.
• Experience delivering high-impact strategic initiatives.
• Deep understanding of life insurance is highly valued.
• Educational background in Business Strategy, Finance, Economics or related fields; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
