Director, Strategy & Transformation

About the role

The Director, Strategy & Transformation reports directly to the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer (CSTO), Group Wealth, and supports the development and execution of Prudential Wealth's enterprise strategy across the Group. The role leads strategic planning, transformation portfolio governance and value realisation, working closely with senior leaders across Distribution, Product, Finance, Operations, Technology, Risk and Local Business Units.

Key responsibilities

• Support the CSTO and Wealth Executive Committee in developing the long-term Wealth strategy, and lead strategic planning, business planning, budgeting and ACR management
• Lead market, competitor and industry analysis, prepare decision papers, strategic analyses and Board update materials
• Govern the Wealth strategic initiative portfolio from business case through execution, setting priorities, milestones and performance measures, and supporting investment prioritisation and funding decisions
• Assess the value of strategic investments, review business case assumptions and track performance against committed outcomes
• Develop strategies for HNW and UHNW customers, products and distribution models, and assess the implications of Bermuda-based insurance and reinsurance structures
• Drive execution of the Group Wealth strategy across Hong Kong, Singapore and other participating markets
• Mobilise cross-functional teams, resolve dependencies and promote agile, outcome-focused approaches to transformation
• Build partnerships with Group functions, the Board and external advisers, and represent the office in governance forums
• Support the CSTO in building the Strategy and Transformation function, providing direction, coaching and quality assurance to team members

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Strategy, Actuarial Science or a related discipline; MBA or equivalent preferred
• 12+ years of experience in strategy, transformation, management consulting or portfolio management
• Significant experience in insurance, reinsurance, wealth management or financial services
• Proven track record leading complex, cross-functional strategic or transformation initiatives
• Experience influencing senior executives in a matrixed organisation and leading and developing teams
