eCommerce Manager

About the role

As the eCommerce Manager you will lead the development and delivery of eCommerce platform initiatives for FWD Group, ensuring high‑quality solutions that meet business requirements. You will manage a team of developers and collaborate with platform owners, business stakeholders, QA and DevOps to drive best‑in‑class digital sales and marketing capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the eCommerce development team to deliver new initiatives, change requests and production support across multiple markets.
• Provide technical leadership in solution design, implementation and troubleshooting, ensuring robustness across platforms and languages.
• Oversee source code management activities (branching, merging, commits) and enforce coding standards and security requirements.
• Collaborate with platform owners, business stakeholders, QA and DevOps to deliver regional eCommerce solutions that support business growth.
• Identify opportunities for process optimisation, performance improvement and operational efficiency.
• Coach and mentor team members, manage project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT‑related discipline (preferred).
• 4‑6 years of hands‑on technical experience with full‑stack development.
• Proven experience leading medium to large project teams (3‑7 members) through end‑to‑end delivery.
• Strong background in system design, database design and architecture, with experience in production support and agile (scrum) methodologies.

• Modern JavaScript frameworks: ReactJS, Next.js (SSR & SSG).
• TypeScript and Node.js (NestJS).
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure.
• Container orchestration: Kubernetes.
• Docker, MongoDB, GraphQL.
• Headless CMS, Storybook design system.
• SEO, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, performance optimisation.
• Test‑Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing.
