Engineering Risk Consultant

About the role

Marsh Risk is looking for a Consultant to join its Risk Consulting team, based in Hong Kong. The role covers engineering and risk assessments of clients' assets, including site inspections, safety audits and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk evaluation surveys of clients' assets to identify and assess facility risk exposures to occupants and assets.
• Perform regular site risk inspections and routine safety audits to evaluate risk-related conditions.
• Carry out risk identification and gap analyses on assets, safety provisions, working environments and building services systems, comparing them against Hong Kong regulations, codes of practice and global standards such as NFPA, and recommend ways to address non-compliance.
• Measure environmental data on site, including ventilation rates, illuminance and floor conditions.
• Prepare reports summarizing survey findings and site visit information.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet agreed deadlines and submission requirements.
• Answer clients' engineering and risk-related questions and concerns promptly and effectively.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Property Management, Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent (an advantage).
• At least 3 years of experience in engineering, property, safety or facility management.
• Familiarity with building services systems or fire protection systems.
• Excellent verbal and written English and Chinese.
• Independent, proactive, self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills.
