Enterprise Data Sales Representative (EDSR)

About the role

Bloomberg Enterprise Data is seeking a motivated Data Sales Representative to join its Hong Kong team. You will own the full sales cycle, from lead generation and new‑business strategy to managing existing accounts and closing deals on Bloomberg’s data and technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and qualify leads for the Enterprise Data Sales team.
• Conduct prospecting calls to both existing accounts and new prospects.
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, identifying growth opportunities within current accounts.
• Stay informed on financial market trends and Bloomberg’s evolving data offerings.
• Establish efficient sales‑administration processes to support day‑to‑day operations.
• Leverage technical knowledge to recommend solutions, close deals, and achieve revenue targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of client‑facing experience in financial services, fintech, or data‑focused technology companies.
• Proven track record selling financial technology or data solutions to financial institutions.
• Experience managing technical and data‑content sales deals from inception to closure.
• Strong client‑service orientation, relationship‑management skills, and sales aptitude.
• Working knowledge of the financial industry’s data needs.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills in English and Mandarin.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

Required skills

• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Data ingestion and delivery models: Cloud, SFTP, API.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg’s product suite.
