Finance Manager – Family Office (Hong Kong)

About the role

Our client, a well‑funded private family office in Hong Kong, is looking for a Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function. The role is ideal for a self‑motivated professional who enjoys operating independently in a lean environment and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the finance function for the family office.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
• Prepare management accounts and financial analysis for senior stakeholders.
• Oversee accounts payable, expenses, banking and cash management.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and liquidity planning.
• Coordinate audits, tax filings and statutory reporting requirements.
• Liaise with external service providers, banks, auditors and advisors.
• Ensure strong financial controls and governance processes are maintained.
• Support investment‑related finance and operational matters where required.
• Drive process improvements and enhance reporting capabilities.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent).
• 8+ years of accounting, financial control or finance management experience.
• Experience in family offices, asset management, financial services or private investment firms preferred.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Comfortable operating as a standalone finance professional.
• Hands‑on mindset with willingness to cover both strategic and operational responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
