Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller to lead the finance carve-out and integration of a newly acquired business spanning nine legal entities across Asia and Europe. Based in Hong Kong, you will work hands-on to ensure a smooth transition from Day 1 through post-integration optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Own delivery of the finance carve-out across all transition phases, including pre-close preparation, Day 1, first close, and Navision go-live.
• Govern the finance aspects of the TSA, defining scope, ownership and exit criteria for order-to-cash, revenue recognition, procure-to-pay, treasury, tax, compliance, month-end reporting and audit.
• Prepare opening balance sheets, configure and clone entities, validate balances and oversee revenue upload design, reporting and bridge-file mappings.
• Lead a team of four finance professionals in Hong Kong and India, covering general ledger, AP, AR and reporting.
• Perform detailed finance work such as reconciliations, journal entries, balance-sheet substantiation and month-end close to prove future-state processes.
• Track progress, risks and dependencies against the TSA plan and coordinate with the M&A team.
• Manage relationships with local compliance providers to ensure statutory compliance in each jurisdiction.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in finance integration, carve-outs or post-merger integration projects.
• Strong knowledge of multi-entity accounting, month-end close and statutory reporting.
• Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams across different locations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
