Financial Director – Family Office

About the role

The family office is seeking a seasoned Financial Director to report directly to the Chairman. You will act as the financial steward for a high‑net‑worth family, overseeing global financial operations, asset structures and wealth‑preservation strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of consolidated global financial statements, cash‑flow forecasts and net‑worth dashboards across multiple asset classes.
• Manage liquidity, banking relationships, credit facilities and treasury functions in Hong Kong, Mainland China and other jurisdictions.
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls, governance frameworks and operational risk policies.
• Partner with internal investment teams and external managers to assess private equity, venture capital, real estate and public market investments.
• Review legal documents, subscription notices and capital‑call schedules for alternative investments.
• Model tax and cash‑flow impacts of new deals and strategic acquisitions.
• Navigate Hong Kong tax rules, offshore structures and international reporting requirements (CRS, FATCA).
• Coordinate cross‑border estate planning, trust administration and philanthropic structures with legal and tax advisors.

Required profile

• 15‑20 years of progressive finance leadership experience in Big‑4 firms, private equity, corporate banking or established family offices.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, HKICPA, AICPA) or CFA charter holder.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) with high personal integrity and discretion.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of multi‑jurisdictional holding structures and private‑wealth management.
• Expertise in financial reporting, cash‑flow forecasting and treasury management.
• Strong understanding of Hong Kong tax frameworks and international compliance (CRS, FATCA).
