Group Financial Controller (Hong Kong)

About the role

The Group Financial Controller will be the primary owner of all group‑level financial numbers, ensuring that information presented to the Board, Audit Committee, and shareholders is accurate, complete, well‑analysed, and decision‑ready. This senior position oversees reporting, consolidation, budgeting, governance, and stakeholder communication across multiple entities and markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly group close and reporting process for all operating and investment entities.
• Review subsidiary management accounts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with group accounting policies.
• Oversee multi‑entity, multi‑currency consolidation, including intercompany eliminations, FX translation, and minority interests.
• Manage the annual group budgeting process, consolidate entity budgets, and support variance analysis.
• Prepare monthly Board packs, quarterly results announcements, and annual financial statements.
• Serve as the primary finance liaison for senior stakeholders, auditors, and external parties.
• Maintain and enhance group accounting policies, reporting standards, and internal controls.

Required profile

• 12–15+ years of progressive finance experience with strong exposure to group reporting and consolidation.
• Prior experience in a listed‑company environment, preferably in distribution, trading, logistics, or real‑estate sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex accounting matters and deliver audit‑ready financial outputs.
