Head of Operations – Hong Kong

About the role

The Head of Operations will lead and coordinate all business operations in Hong Kong, ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and procedures. As a member of the Hong Kong EXCO, the role partners strategically with senior leadership and supports the execution of the overall HK strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the COO – East Asia and business units to execute strategic plans and support FAB International expansion.
• Own operational risk exposures, maintain robust internal controls, set risk limits and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Provide strategic guidance to the Operations department, overseeing trade finance, loans processing, treasury operations, funds transfer, KYC, customer onboarding, credit administration and SLA adherence.
• Oversee outsourced operations to ensure control and SLA compliance.
• Participate in EXCO, Branch Risk & Compliance Committee, International COO workshops and functional alignment meetings.
• Manage project delivery from a business perspective and ensure IT and digital strategies align with business goals.

Required profile

• Senior leader with experience in coordinating large, cross‑functional teams.
• Proven ability to interact with and influence senior business stakeholders, including global and regional heads.
• Deep understanding of business, product and market contexts to drive HK strategy rollout.
• Strong risk management mindset and experience in operational oversight.
