International Finance Controller (Financial Director)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced International Finance Controller to lead financial oversight, reporting and compliance for our global subsidiaries in Ireland, Israel, the United States and Mexico. Based in Hong Kong, you will ensure accurate consolidation, timely reporting and strong internal controls across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual close processes for all international subsidiaries.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to headquarters and senior management.
• Analyze financial performance, identify trends and provide actionable insights.
• Maintain compliance with IFRS, HKFRS/HK GAAP and US GAAP, and coordinate local statutory and tax reporting requirements.
• Monitor changes in accounting standards and assess impact on the Group.
• Provide financial leadership to subsidiary finance teams and standardise accounting policies and internal controls.
• Review balance‑sheet reconciliations, journal entries and reporting packages.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of direct responsibility for consolidating complex, multi‑entity multinational groups.
• Background in a Big Four accounting firm (Deloitte, PwC, EY or KPMG) or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of IFRS, HKFRS/HK GAAP and US GAAP.
• Proven experience in group consolidation, intercompany accounting, foreign currency translation and acquisition accounting.
• Ability to work effectively across cultures, time zones and regulatory environments.
