IT Support Analyst – Commodities Trading Technology

About the role

Provide dedicated technology support to the front‑office Commodities Trading business of a leading international investment bank. You will work directly with traders and sales teams across energy, metals, gas and power markets, ensuring critical trading platforms and market data systems run smoothly in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver hands‑on IT support for trading applications, market data platforms, hardware, software and network issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with Bloomberg, Refinitiv/Eikon, OMS, risk systems and proprietary trading platforms.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring incidents.
• Collaborate with traders, desk managers, infrastructure and development teams, and coordinate with external vendors on escalated issues.
• Participate in system upgrades, deployments, patching and user testing while proactively monitoring systems.

Required profile

• 7+ years of IT support experience within financial services, preferably supporting front‑office trading users.
• Exposure to commodities, energy, metals, gas, power or broader capital markets environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across desktop, applications, network and infrastructure.
• Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to stay calm under pressure in a business‑critical setting.
