Manager, Ecosystem Development (Microelectronics, New Materials and New Energy)

About the role

The Manager, Ecosystem Development will lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive ecosystem strategy for the Microelectronics, New Materials and New Energy clusters at HSITP. This role focuses on attracting startups, researchers and industry players, fostering collaboration, and positioning HSITP as a thought leader in Hong Kong’s innovation landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an ecosystem development strategy aligned with HSITP’s vision.
• Lead initiatives to attract and support startups, researchers and industry participants in the three clusters.
• Identify collaboration opportunities and synergies among cluster members.
• Establish strategic partnerships with industry to leverage resources and expertise.
• Organise workshops, networking events and conferences to build a vibrant community.
• Support high‑quality tech companies and enterprises landing at the park.
• Represent HSITP at industry forums and conferences.
• Assist with additional projects and initiatives as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in science, electronic engineering, energy engineering, business administration or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 6‑8 years of experience in ecosystem development, technology innovation, startup support or research development.
• Prior experience in cluster development for new materials, micro‑electronics or new energy is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of trends and applications in new materials, micro‑electronics and new energy.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese (including Mandarin).
• Willingness to travel frequently or work permanently at the Lok Ma Chau office.
