MCR Inventory Manager

About the role

DayOne is seeking an MCR Inventory Manager to develop and oversee a comprehensive spare parts strategy for its high‑performance data centre infrastructure. You will ensure accurate inventory records, safety stock levels, and rapid response to emergencies across regional warehouses.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage a spare parts strategy covering storage, lifecycle, replenishment, and usage tracking.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for critical spare parts across regional warehouses.
• Coordinate with site teams to define spare parts requirements for key systems such as UPS, FWU/CRAC, generators, chillers, and CDUs.
• Establish safety stock levels based on failure rates, lead times, and operational criticality.
• Manage spare parts hubs, ensuring proper organisation, labelling, and environmental conditions.
• Support emergency response by arranging immediate dispatch of critical parts during incidents.
• Review part condition, monitor obsolescence risks, and liaise with OEMs for updates or replacements.
• Oversee shipping, receiving, storage, and internal logistics for all critical components.
• Ensure compliance with audit requirements, security controls, and insurance standards for high‑value spare parts.
• Maintain documentation and online platforms including part lists, lifecycle records, warranty information, and consumption reports.
