Project Engineer

About the role

Veolia Environmental Services (Hong Kong) Limited, part of Veolia Hong Kong & Macau, is looking for a Project Engineer based in Fanling. The role covers weighbridge operations, pump works and vehicle wash plant design, subcontractor management and technical support for the WRA team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee weighbridge operations and traffic management for the POB area.
• Design and modify pump works and vehicle wash plants to meet operational requirements.
• Manage subcontractors on engineering and overhaul works, ensuring compliance with corporate H&S standards and quality workmanship.
• Provide technical support to the WRA team in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting, diagnosing equipment failures and investigating root causes.
• Assist in implementing H&S inspection programmes and auditing checks, providing findings and recommendations to WRA.
• Assist in executing infrastructure capital and operational projects, including site supervision of subcontractors and testing and commissioning of new installations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Service Engineering.
• Valid Green Card and driving licence (Class 1 or 2).
• At least 2 years of engineering experience in electrical or mechanical engineering, with hands-on involvement in overhaul and installation of equipment.
• Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Project Engineer.
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Project, Excel, Word) and Google Workspace.
• Chinese word processing.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills to manage subcontractors and frontline staff.
