Quant Options Trader

About the role

A leading proprietary trading firm is building its options trading capability and is looking for a Quant Options Trader in Hong Kong. The role sits at the intersection of trading, quantitative research and technology, with direct responsibility for the performance of options strategies, real PnL ownership and short decision loops.

Key responsibilities

• Own and trade systematic options strategies, including market making, volatility and relative-value approaches
• Manage risk in real time across portfolios, Greeks and market regimes
• Develop and refine quantitative pricing, hedging and execution models
• Identify inefficiencies across volatility surfaces, term structures and correlations
• Drive continuous performance improvement through better models, execution logic and infrastructure
• Work with researchers and engineers to turn ideas into production
• Expand the strategy universe across products, maturities and geographies

Required profile

• Significant experience in a top proprietary trading firm or similar environment
• Has traded options or volatility strategies with meaningful PnL impact
• Comfortable taking ownership and making decisions close to the market
• Enjoys building and improving systems, not just running them
• Values a technically strong, low-politics, performance-driven culture

Required skills

• Strong quantitative foundations
• Programming skills (Python); C++ is a plus
