Senior Director, Finance Business Partner - Technology

About the role

Prudential is hiring a Senior Director, Finance Business Partner for its Technology business unit at its Hong Kong Group Head Office. The role acts as the principal Finance Business Partner to Technology, supporting the CTOO and Technology leadership, and is a key member of the CTOO leadership ecosystem. It drives financial stewardship, strategic direction and commercial insight so that investments, operating models and service economics align with Group strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Act as principal financial adviser to Technology leadership, shape financial strategy and lead scenario modelling and trade-off discussions for major transformation initiatives.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting, maintain financial models and give decision-oriented insights to the C-suite, GEC and the Board.
• Lead cost management and optimisation, and ensure recharges to Line of Business Units are transparent, explainable and defensible.
• Evaluate, prioritise and monitor technology investments, lead financial due diligence and business case assessments for digital transformation, IT security, Data & AI and VCC opportunities.
• Ensure strong financial governance, controls and compliance, and manage financial risk and cost leakage.
• Partner with Technology leadership and Group Finance and LBU CFOs, and champion collaboration across Finance, Technology and Transformation.
• Mentor finance business partner resources supporting Technology and foster a culture of commercial excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
• 15 to 20 years of finance experience, including senior leadership roles.
• Proven track record in group-level business partnering, cost transformation and investment governance.
• Able to operate in a complex, matrixed environment with multiple senior stakeholders.
