Senior Group Manager, IFRS

About the role

Prudential is hiring a Senior Group Manager, IFRS at its Hong Kong Group Head Office. The role supports the Director, IFRS Performance Management, who reviews and interprets business units' IFRS financial performance, provides IFRS reporting and management information to Group stakeholders and acts as a business partner giving accounting guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Review, analyse and interpret business units' IFRS financial performance and its consistency with TEV and other reporting metrics.
• Provide timely and insightful IFRS financial reporting and management information to Group stakeholders.
• Act as a business partner, giving business and accounting guidance and sharing best practice.
• Manage quarterly, half-yearly and annual processes and deliverables for IFRS actual reporting, the 3-year Plan and quarterly forecasts, including external disclosures.
• Consolidate results and prepare analysis and management reports with high accuracy and timeliness, making accurate financial and management information available to senior management.
• Review and improve IFRS processes and workflows, and assist in investigations to optimise financial outcomes and ensure consistent application across the Group.
• Support the assessment of business units' AIB outcomes.

Required profile

• University degree.
• Professional actuarial or accounting qualification.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in finance, accounting or actuarial roles.
• Solid IFRS 17 knowledge and experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with common accounting and management information systems such as OneStream, Oracle, Hyperion, SAS or Anaplan.
