Senior Product Manager - Ophthalmics

About the role

Santen Hong Kong, which sells, markets and distributes Santen's ophthalmic products in Hong Kong and Macau, is looking for a Senior Product Manager. The role develops and executes strategic marketing initiatives to grow sales, market share and brand presence, leads product lifecycle management and drives financial performance through forecasting, budget management and market analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run marketing strategies and annual brand plans for the assigned product portfolio across Hong Kong and Macau.
• Lead product lifecycle management, including positioning, pricing, promotions, portfolio optimisation and new product launches.
• Evaluate market opportunities, customer insights and competition to support growth and pipeline planning.
• Plan and run multi-channel marketing, including HCP engagement programmes, medical conferences, promotional campaigns, trade marketing and Macau market support.
• Work with Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Supply Chain, distributors and regional stakeholders.
• Manage sales forecasts, inventory planning, A&P budgets and product profitability.
• Create sales support materials, promotional tools and product training programmes.
• Explore cross-border opportunities, including Hong Kong and Mainland China partnerships.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Marketing, Business or a related field.
• At least 5 years of healthcare/pharmaceutical marketing experience; 9+ years of combined healthcare sales and marketing experience is highly preferred.
• Ophthalmology or eye-care product experience is an advantage; a strong scientific or academic background is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in product launches, brand management and product lifecycle management is a plus.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin preferred).
• Willingness to travel occasionally; appointment level depends on experience.
