Senior Project Data Analyst (Finance) - PMO

About the role

The Project Management Office (PMO) sits within Johnson Electric's corporate office in Hong Kong and manages global CAPEX, including business case reviews, management presentations and annual CAPEX budget management, as well as special global projects assigned by the C-Suite such as new sites, product launches and production line transfers. The role focuses on analysing financial data to spot issues affecting regional or site performance, and on building clear Power BI reports for management.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse financial data to identify and address issues impacting regional or site-specific performance
• Collaborate with functions to build recovery action plans
• Create accessible, insightful Power BI reports for management updates
• Work with the manufacturing team on the plant shop floor to understand products and operations and find cost-saving opportunities
• Reduce manual effort in report development and establish single source of truth data sources

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or mechanical engineering with 2 to 3 years of experience in a technical manufacturing role
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage but not mandatory
• Some experience in financial analysis is a positive addition
• Proficiency in English is required
• Willingness to work across time zones, travel within the region and work after normal office hours

Required skills

• Power BI (data shaping, DAX modelling and visualisation)
• Advanced Excel for data analysis
• Ability to handle complex, non-standardised regional data
• Knowledge of AI, large language models and machine learning is an added advantage
