Senior System Analyst – Regulatory Data Application

About the role

The Senior System Analyst will lead the development and maintenance of regulatory data applications, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with financial regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end SDLC for regulatory report applications, focusing on data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data processing workflows.
• Maintain, tune, troubleshoot, and upgrade existing regulatory data applications.
• Coordinate with IT and business teams on system enhancements and development schedules.
• Analyze and interpret business requirements related to capital adequacy, liquidity risk, large exposures, and other regulatory reporting mandates.

Required profile

• Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related fields.
• 8+ years of hands‑on experience in data warehouse or business intelligence development, with at least 3 years focused on regulatory reporting or risk‑management solutions in a major bank or financial institution.
• Strong understanding of core banking systems and data domains such as credit risk, financial reporting, or wealth management.
• Proficiency in Oracle, MySQL, and Gauss DB databases.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical abilities.
• Experience with banking regulations (HKMA, Basel III, LCR, BELR, GDR) is an advantage.
• Fluent in English and Chinese; Mandarin is a plus.
