Senior Technical Recruiter

About the role

As a Senior Technical Recruiter at ActAI, you will independently own difficult technical searches and hire exceptional engineering and AI talent globally. You will lead end‑to‑end recruitment for AI/ML, backend, frontend, mobile, infrastructure and leadership positions, ensuring high‑quality hires that match ActAI’s ambitious mission.

Key responsibilities

• Own technical searches end‑to-end across AI/ML, backend, frontend, mobile, infrastructure and engineering leadership.
• Build talent maps and sourcing strategies for hard‑to‑fill roles across leading AI startups, technology companies, research organisations and technical communities.
• Identify and headhunt high‑quality passive candidates rather than relying on inbound applications.
• Deeply assess technical profiles to understand candidates’ actual contributions and relevance to ActAI.
• Partner with engineering leaders to calibrate hiring bars, refine target profiles and improve interview processes.
• Manage and close senior candidates through compensation discussions, competing offers and complex situations.
• Use recruiting data and market feedback to spot pipeline problems and continuously improve search strategy and conversion.

Required profile

• 5+ years of recruiting experience, with substantial experience hiring software engineers and other technical talent.
• Proven track record of independently delivering difficult technical hires through proactive headhunting.
• Strong understanding of software engineering disciplines and ability to evaluate technical profiles beyond company, title and keywords.
• Excellent sourcing capability across LinkedIn and other relevant platforms, communities and networks.
• Ability to advise hiring managers using evidence from the talent market rather than simply executing requests.
• Strong candidate management, negotiation and closing skills.
• High ownership, judgement and execution speed.
