Trade Compliance & Export Control Consultant (Remote)

About the role

Axiom is seeking an experienced Legal/Compliance Consultant to support a global client with trade compliance and export control matters across APAC. The role is remote and focuses on translating complex regulations into practical business guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support on global trade compliance, including export controls, product classification (ECCN), licensing, and permitting requirements.
• Analyze and interpret trade regulations and apply them to business operations across APAC.
• Support regionalization of compliance programs, such as restricted party screening, customer due diligence, and end‑use/end‑user reviews.
• Train, mentor, and support trade compliance personnel in Greater China and the broader APAC region.

Required profile

• 4‑12+ years of experience in global/regional trade compliance and export controls.
• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong and China/APAC regulations.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin with excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Proven track record of building and regionalizing trade compliance programs and supervisory experience.
