Training & Education Specialist/Manager, Medical Surgical

About the role

Medtronic, a global healthcare technology company, is looking for a Training & Education Specialist/Manager for its Medical Surgical business in Hong Kong. The role focuses on providing employee and customer training so that medical devices are used safely and effectively, and on supporting clinical research and product knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Provide employee and customer training to ensure safe and effective product use that optimizes patient care.
• Maintain communication with customers to ensure the effectiveness of training.
• Create validation methods to check that training is efficient and effective, and revise them as needed.
• Ensure training meets company and customer objectives.
• Facilitate technical problem solving related to products and therapies with customers and employees.
• Give feedback to product development, education and marketing teams about product performance.
• Partner with key personnel to identify opportunities and barriers to improving district performance.
• Help raise awareness of the total MS portfolio to advocate for Medtronic solutions.
• Support clinical research efforts (pre-market, post-market and external projects) at activated clinical centers together with the field clinical organization.

Required profile

• Preferred: experience in the OT environment and familiarity with surgical equipment, including small and large capital equipment.
• Preferred: exposure to and expertise in surgical products and procedures across specialties such as General Surgery, GYN, Urology and CTS.
• Advantageous: prior experience in clinical education, product training or delivering professional training programs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to turn complex technical and clinical concepts into clear, practical learning for diverse audiences.
