Geotechnical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join Aurecon’s Infrastructure business in Hong Kong. The role involves delivering geotechnical design and analysis for a variety of infrastructure projects, from rural access roads to complex freeways and water‑security schemes. You will work closely with internal teams and external consultants to turn concepts into detailed, buildable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare concept design reports and detailed design specifications using Hong Kong standards and codes.
• Perform analysis and design of earth‑retaining structures (ERS) and foundations.
• Develop submission procedures and design standards for local projects.
• Coordinate designs with internal teams and external consultants.
• Produce calculations, specifications, proposals and tender documentation.
• Conduct site inspections, reporting and liaison with clients, sub‑consultants and contractors.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering consulting.
• Recognised civil engineering qualification (Bachelor or Master degree).
• Proven technical proficiency in geotechnical and foundation design for infrastructure and underground construction.
• Strong understanding of Hong Kong practices and codes.
• Ability to work collaboratively in diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
