Investment Specialist/Strategist – CIO Office, Private Banking

About the role

A well‑established regional bank is expanding its private banking platform and seeks an Investment Specialist/Strategist for the CIO Office. You will conduct cross‑asset research, produce market commentary and support portfolio management for high‑net‑worth clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct cross‑asset investment research focusing on FX and macroeconomic trends, contributing to the bank’s CIO house‑view publications.
• Prepare weekly investment commentaries, market updates and monthly house‑view reports for internal and client use.
• Support the management of CIO house‑view portfolios, including asset allocation, fund selection, performance monitoring and trade execution.
• Partner closely with Relationship Managers and Investment Counsellors to provide investment ideas, fund recommendations and product‑sales support.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements while participating in process‑improvement and business‑enhancement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline; CFA qualification or progress towards CFA preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience in investment research, advisory, fund management, FX advisory or investment consulting within private banking, asset management or financial institutions.
• Strong understanding of global macroeconomics, cross‑asset allocation, portfolio construction and financial markets.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin with strong written and verbal communication skills.
