Lead HR Business Partner – HC Business Partnering Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Lead HR Business Partner to establish and lead our HC Business Partnering function. This senior role will shape the firm’s HR partnering model, drive consistency and quality of service delivery, and align people priorities with business needs across mainland China and Hong Kong.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the HC Business Partnering function, ensuring consistency and excellence across business lines.
• Serve as the primary HR operational interface and strategic partner for Lines of Service HR Business Partners.
• Drive firm‑wide HR transformation initiatives, including operating model redesign, digitalization, and organizational change.
• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business priorities and track key initiatives.
• Partner with senior business leaders to influence decision‑making, workforce planning, talent management and organisational development.
• Lead and manage multi‑functional HR teams supporting operations in mainland China and Hong Kong.

Required profile

• 15+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in senior HR leadership managing multi‑functional teams.
• Deep expertise in HR operating model design, total rewards, workforce planning and organisational development.
• Proven track record leading large‑scale HR transformation projects, including digitalisation and operating model redesign.
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate business strategies into actionable HR plans.
• Experience managing HR operations across mainland China and Hong Kong.
• Bilingual fluency in Mandarin and English (written and spoken).
