Assistant Engineer

About the role

Veolia Hong Kong Holding Limited, part of the Veolia Group, is looking for an Assistant Engineer in Fanling. The role covers weighbridge operations, pump and vehicle wash plant facilities, contractor management and equipment maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee weighbridge operations and traffic control for the POB area
• Design and modify pump systems and vehicle wash plant facilities
• Manage engineering and overhaul contractors while ensuring H&S compliance and quality standards
• Provide preventive maintenance support and troubleshooting to reduce equipment downtime
• Investigate equipment failures to identify root causes and implement preventive solutions
• Conduct H&S inspections and audits, oversee infrastructure projects, supervise subcontractors and manage testing and commissioning of new installations
• Carry out other ad hoc projects as assigned by management

Required profile

• Degree holder in E&M, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent; alternatively a Higher Diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
• At least 2 years of engineering work experience in the overhaul and installation of electrical and mechanical equipment
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
• Green Card and a driving licence (Class I and IIB)
