Assistant Manager to Senior Manager, Precious Metal Trader

About the role

This position is responsible for generating profit by trading precious metals and supporting the development of new metal and commodity products. The role reports market insights to senior management and ensures high‑quality service for both internal and external clients.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve individual profit targets through active precious‑metal trading.
• Prepare commentary and regular reporting as required.
• Provide market information and forecasts to help shape business strategy.
• Quote, manage and execute orders for internal and external clients with professional, timely service.
• Participate in the development of new precious‑metal and commodity products by collaborating with various stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Finance, or a quantitative discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in precious‑metal trading or related fields.
• Knowledge of precious‑metal operations, especially gold, is a plus.
• Programming ability in Excel and VBA is advantageous.
• Self‑motivated with strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
