Assistant Vice President - Casualty Placement

About the role

Marsh Risk is seeking an experienced professional to join its Casualty Placement team in Hong Kong. You will leverage deep risk expertise to develop placement solutions, drive growth, and deliver exceptional client service.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement placement strategies, including go‑to‑market plans and pricing participation.
• Facilitate coverage submissions, obtain carrier quotes, bind coverage, and ensure accuracy of placement binders.
• Maintain relationships with practice teams, insurance markets, carriers, and underwriters to provide cohesive client service.
• Advise clients on market conditions, inform executives of major developments, and support client retention and new business production.
• Drive senior placement and technical support activities, ensure procedural compliance, and maintain accurate system entries for contract execution.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in P&C insurance broking or casualty underwriting.
• Proven negotiation skills with underwriters to secure optimal terms for clients.
• Strong understanding of policies, contracts, and facilities within the Hong Kong brokerage market.
• Excellent organizational, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Fluency in Chinese, English and Mandarin.
