Assistant Vice President, Finance

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Vice President to join our Group Finance team. Reporting to senior finance leaders, you will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, supporting investment decisions, and ensuring robust financial reporting across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate financial models, business cases, and analyses for operational and investment decisions, as well as funding approvals.
• Manage month‑end closing, internal recharging, and maintain the full set of financial books in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Analyse financial and operational performance, collaborating with business units to drive initiatives and achieve targets.
• Support ad‑hoc projects such as financial due diligence, evaluation of new business opportunities, and special analyses.
• Provide professional advice on accounting treatment, financial impacts of new proposals, contract reviews, investment appraisals, and governance matters.

Required profile

• Degree holder and qualified accountant with an internationally recognised professional accounting body.
• Minimum of 6 years relevant experience; experience in Big‑4, multinational corporations or large corporate environments is an advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset, proactive and detail‑oriented, able to meet tight timelines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex financial information to non‑finance stakeholders.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Independent team player willing to collaborate across overseas offices and travel as required.
