AVP Specialist – Business Audit for Global Financial Markets

About the role

The Audit team of DBS Group is seeking an AVP Specialist to lead business audits across Global Financial Markets, Capital Markets and Human Resources. You will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring internal controls are robust and regulatory requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, lead and execute audits in line with departmental and IIA standards, focusing on Global Financial Markets, Capital Markets and HR.
• Manage audit assignments, including audit planning, risk matrices and testing strategies.
• Evaluate internal control designs, identify gaps and recommend improvements.
• Analyse red‑flags from Dynamic Risk Assessment and GFM Analytics tools and validate exceptions.
• Escalate major risk, control and regulatory issues and produce clear, timely audit reports.
• Maintain relationships with middle and senior management and collaborate with audit specialists on data‑analytics opportunities.
• Drive audit automation projects and share findings across Group Audit.
• Stay updated on banking regulations, industry trends and product developments.

Required profile

• Degree qualification with over 8 years of relevant business or audit experience in financial institutions.
• Strong technical knowledge of financial products and associated risks.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently on multiple priorities.
• Excellent influencing, negotiating and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Robust analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Solid reporting, presentation and communication capabilities.
• Experience in data analytics or leading audit‑related projects is preferred.
• Ability to build effective relationships with business executives.
