Business Development Representative

About the role

Omnichat is looking for a Business Development Representative to generate qualified leads for its WhatsApp Business and multi‑channel messaging platform. You will work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth handover of sales‑ready opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct desk‑based outbound activities such as LinkedIn outreach, CRM prospecting, cold calls and personalised emails.
• Research target companies, engage decision‑makers and build a qualified lead pipeline.
• Qualify leads against defined criteria and pass sales‑ready leads (SQLs) to the sales team.
• Collaborate with sales to ensure smooth lead handover and follow‑up.
• Maintain accurate outreach records and track basic performance metrics in the CRM.
• Support lead capture events and subsequent follow‑up activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in inside sales, telesales or outbound business development.
• Proven track record in cold calling and email outreach.
• Proficiency with Mac OS and Google Workspace.
• Strong written and spoken English; Chinese (Mandarin) is an advantage.
• Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Self‑driven, resilient and target‑oriented.
